Soft Aging

Supporting your skin and wellbeing through the changes that naturally come with time.

Many women feel caught between wanting to look their best, healthier and more vibrant, while also not wanting to lose themselves in the pursuit of looking younger. Wanting to recognise themselves in the mirror, while still feeling good in their skin.

Changes in your face can catch you off guard, like the glimpse of an angle in the mirror that throws you. And these changes tend to land in a stage in life where we feel more sure of who we are. and at a time where we know again is a privilege that not everyone gets. After years of beauty messaging seeping into our subconscious, that ageing is something to fight…it can feel complicated.

My approach is not about chasing perfection or erasing every line. Lines come from laughter, a life well lived fully, through to the more difficult emotions we wish we didnt have to go through. It’s about supporting your skin in a way that feels natural, restorative and aligned with you.

Understanding how the skin changes

The your face changes naturally over time, but aging is influenced by much more than just age alone. Stress, sun exposure, lifestyle, hormonal shifts, inflammation, sleep, your skin’s microbiome (yes skin has one too!) and the way we hold tension in the body all shape how our skin looks and feels over the years.

Collagen production slows down and skin can become drier, thinner, less bouncy. You may notice a loss of firmness through the cheeks or jawline, or feel that your skin just feels different. Add into this the hormonal changes in perimenopause and menopause that can affect hydration, sensitivity and skin vitality.

This is why my approach goes beyond the surface of the skin.

A different kind of facial rejuvenation

When the nervous system is under pressure and the body is holding tension, it shows in the face. Circulation slows, facial muscles get stuck in habitual tension patterns, the skin loses some of its natural vitality.

Through sculpting facial massage, gua sha, buccal massage, reflexology, acupressure and restorative bodywork, I work not just with the skin surface but with the muscles, fascia, circulation and nervous system beneath it. When these begin to soften and flow more freely, the skin often follows, appearing brighter, more lifted and more alive.

Advanced technologies such as LED, microcurrent and high frequency can enhance skin cell renewal in a gentle and non-invasive way.

What soft ageing actually looks like

It looks like skin that is healthy and a confidence and lightness within you that radiates outwards. Your face reflects your body, so when physical tension eases and your body finds its rhythm again, you feel lifted inside and out.

Ageing well isn't only about what you see in the mirror. It's about moving into the later seasons of your life feeling energised, at ease and perhaps most importantly, without giving yourself a hard time. So you feel at home in your skin, vibrant and recognisably yourself.
